Comorbidités de l’eczéma chez l’adulte

L’observation selon laquelle le psoriasis pourrait être un facteur de risque indépendant d’infarctus du myocarde (IM), qui a été démontrée d’une manière particulièrement éloquente dans une étude de la population du Royaume-Uni publiée dans le JAMA, est à l’origine d’un flot constant d’études portant sur les comorbidités des maladies de la peau.
Le psoriasis, la dermatite atopique (eczéma), l’hidrosadénite suppurée, la pelade et d’autres affections ont fait l’objet d’études portant sur leurs liens avec diverses comorbidités extracutanées. Plus précisément, l’eczéma a fait l’objet d’études portant sur la santé mentale et les troubles du sommeil, les maladies cardiovasculaires, l’ostéoporose et le risque de fracture. Dans le présent article, je passe en revue les données relatives à certaines comorbidités de l’eczéma chez les adultes, et j’exprime mon opinion sur la possibilité que l’une ou l’autre puisse se répercuter sur la prise en charge de nos patients. Autrement dit, comptent-elles?
