Mise à jour sur l’eczéma chronique des mains
Résumé
L’eczéma des mains est une maladie inflammatoire de la peau dont l’évolution est souvent chronique. L’eczéma chronique des mains (ECM) est défini comme un eczéma sur les mains qui persiste plus de trois mois ou qui présente au moins deux poussées par an. Au cours de la pandémie de la COVID-19, l’eczéma des mains a suscité l’attention en raison du risque accru de dermatite de contact particulièrement irritante dans le contexte d’un changement des habitudes d’hygiène des mains et de la fréquence de leur lavage.
Cet état de fait a une fois de plus souligné l’importance de la protection de la peau pour la prévention de la maladie. Au-delà de cet aspect, des lignes directrices nouvelles et actualisées sont disponibles, et une multitude d’études de grande qualité sur la prévalence, la pathogenèse et le traitement de l’eczéma des mains ont mené à une meilleure compréhension de la maladie et de sa prise en charge.
Cet article vise à donner un aperçu des données récentes sur l’eczéma des mains et met l’accent sur l’épidémiologie, la qualité de vie ainsi que les nouvelles options de traitement.
