Hyperpigmentation post-inflammatoire : Pathogenèse, diagnostic et traitement
Résumé
L’hyperpigmentation post-inflammatoire (HPI) est une affection pigmentaire acquise et courante. Bien qu’elle puisse survenir dans tous les phototypes de peau, elle touche plus souvent les personnes ayant un phénotype de peau foncée. L’HPI peut résulter d’une inflammation endogène telle que l’acné vulgaire ou d’une lésion, ou d’un traumatisme de la peau, causé notamment par une intervention impliquant une source d’énergie. L’HPI ne provoque pas de symptômes chez le patient, mais son apparition et sa persistance peuvent être une source de détresse. Ceci est particulièrement vrai chez les patients dont la peau est foncée, en raison de la visibilité plus marquée de l’HPI dans les types de peau 3 à 6. Il n’est donc pas surprenant que l’HPI soit l’une des raisons les plus courantes qui poussent les patients à la peau foncée à consulter un dermatologue.
